In 2005, Yale University completed construction on the Daniel L. Malone Engineering Center (shown here) and the Class of 1954 Chemistry Research Building, both based on sustainable building standards. Yale has committed a total of $1 billion for new research and teaching facilities in the sciences, medicine, and engineering.
