SEXUAL HARASSMENT SURVEY

This survey was administered in the Branford, Berkeley, Calhoun, Davenport, Jonathan Edwards, Trumble, Saybrook, Silliman, Pierson, Morse dining halls between Nov. 7-9.

A total of 489 people responded to this survey, over 150 more took the survey but did not include their sex or year, so were not counted.

Responses to questions on the survey were confidential.

221 males were surveyed, 258 females.

What is sexual harassment?

a. Talk about sexual subject matter- 56% males, 62 % females, 59%

total

b. Personal questions- 68% males, 79% females, 74% total

c. Social invite- 37% males, 34% females, 35% total

d. Physical Contact- 85% males, 92% females, 89% total

e. Sexual Relationship- 33% males, 40% females, 37% total

f. Relations not harassment- 40%, 30% females, 35% total


Students who say they have been harassed by professors of T.A.'s (in numbers because the percentages are so small):
