Interviews
|
Although an interview is not required, we strongly encourage Yale applicants to take advantage of the opportunity to meet and talk with a Yale alumnus/a or student. Through an interview, you can learn more about Yale and have a further chance to share additional information about yourself. All Yale interviews, both those with alumni and those with current Yale students, are evaluative. Interview reports are read along with all the other application materials submitted by candidates. On-Campus InterviewsA limited number of on-campus interviews are available for students who will be entering their senior year of high school in the fall of 2009 on a first-come, first-serve basis. These interviews are conducted by current Yale seniors at the admissions office and are approximately 30 minutes in length. The summer interview season runs from mid-June to mid-August, and the fall season runs from mid-September to mid-November. If you are planning to visit campus and would like to schedule an interview, please do so through our online interview scheduler. The volume of requests makes it impossible to accommodate all prospective students who would like an on-campus interview. Do not be discouraged if you are unable to schedule an on-campus interview. We urge all applicants, whether or not they have scheduled interviews, to visit the campus if they can possibly do so. Please keep in mind that once you have submitted an application you may have the opportunity to interview with an alumnus in your area. For more information review the application section. Also remember that interviews are not required, and that we do not disadvantage those students who may not be able to obtain an interview. |
