Yale Athletics Philosophy and Objectives

Message from the Director The following athletics department objectives for FY08 are again a result of the collaborative efforts of our staff including coaches, clerical and technical, service and maintenance and administrators. All ideas presented by our staff have been consolidated and identified under each overarching goal. During FY07 many of our goals were achieved. The remaining few continue to be on-going or changed permanent goals, and a few have been renewed into goals that we continue to strive to accomplish.
We recognize and acknowledge that it will take the cooperation and involvement of all staff at every level and from every employment category to successfully accomplish these goals. As we move forward, sub-committees will be formed to develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-framed) goals for each of these objectives. The sub-committees may also solicit the involvement of other staff members to work on specific projects. Each committee will provide a regularly scheduled progress report at Senior Staff Meetings and present recommendations for achieving the identified goals. The committees will also provide progress reports throughout the year to the department.
We value, appreciate and thank you for your input and creative suggestions and look forward in continuing to work together in achieving a positive, professional and successful work experience for everyone. |
