TRAVEL DIRECTIONS The conference will be held in Room 101*, Linsly-Chittenden Hall (LC), 61 High Street on the Yale University campus in New Haven, CT. Linsly-Chittenden Hall is located on High Street between Chapel and Elm streets (see map). Please note that High Street is a one-way street. This page has been designed as a quick reference for those wishing to travel to the Yale University Campus. * The conference has been moved from Room 211 to Room 101 due to high registration. CAR From I-95 North: From I-95 South: PARKING Public Parking Directions: After merging onto Route CT-34W toward DOWNTOWN NEW HAVEN, stay on Route 34W to the third and final exit onto North Frontage Road and immediately go to the far right lane. Turn right onto York Street at the first intersection. Travel about 2-½ blocks just past Crown Street but before Chapel Street. There are two parking lots on York Street: Chapel-York Garage on the left (150 York Street), and 161 York Garage on the right side behind the Yale Repertory Theater. After parking, walk to the corner of York and Chapel. Take a right onto Chapel and walk one block to High Street. Take a left onto High Street and walk about 1/3 block to 61 High Street which will be the second building on the right. Public Parking Rates: Chapel-York Garage (150 York Street): 161 York Garage (behind theater): TRAIN Metro-North Railroad (a subsidiary of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority) features hourly commuter service to New Haven from Grand Central Station in New York (see schedules or call 800-638-7646). Amtrak is available from Boston, New York (Penn Station), or Washington, DC (and all points in between) to Union Station in New Haven (see schedules or call 800-872-7245). The New Haven train station is a twenty minute walk from campus and local taxi service is available (fare is approximately $5-6). AIR TRAVEL New Haven is serviced by the Tweed/New Haven Airport which is a convenient 10-minute taxi ride to the Yale campus and has daily flights to/from Philadelphia (US Air) and Cincinnati (Comair/Delta). Other alternatives are Hartford/Bradley International Airport (approx. 1-hour driving time to Yale), or one of the New York airports (La Guardia, JFK, or Newark approx. two-hours driving time). Shuttle service is available to and from New Haven by companies such as Connecticut Limousine (800-472-5466), Prime Time Shuttle (800-377-8745), Red Dot Shuttle (800-673-3368).
