I have regular alkaline batteries. Can't I just throw them in the trash?
I found a fluorescent light bulb in my office. What should I do with it?
Fluorescent lights and the ballast boxes found in the light fixtures can not go in the normal trash. This also includes the UV lamps found in the biosafety cabinets. Please call 432-6545 if you find them in trash containers or in areas where they need to be removed and EHS will arrange for their proper disposal.
