faith and globalization
FG
These are times of
tumultuous change.
The twentieth century
order is history; and the
forces of globalization
are pushing all of the
economies of the
world—and all of the
citizens of the world,
with their great diversity
of religious faiths—
more closely together.

Reflection on the issues of faith and globalization and lead to the kind of reconciliation and peaceful coexistence that the 21st century demands.

During the fall of 2008, YCFC’s director, Professor Miroslav Volf,
and Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair are conducting
Yale’s new Faith and Globalization seminar. Professor Volf draws on
his research on faith and economics, human work, reconciliation,
and memory in co-leading with Prime Minister Blair three successive
courses enriched by a wealth of influential international guest
speakers—both academics and practitioners—investigating how
faith can be lived responsibly in our globalized world and how it can
contribute to the humanization of the globalization processes.
