BUDS: Stalked flower buds flank stalkless leaf buds; false end buds

TWIGS: Aromatic when crushed

HABITAT: Wetland indicator; nutrient-rich mineral soil; high pH soil

USES: Aromatic leaves and twigs can be used for tea. The dried berries can be powdered and used as a spice.
