It is an opportunity for students to stake out independent intellectual positions and engage in critical discussion--both in formal question-and-answer sessions following each panel, as well as in further outside discussion with peers and faculty. Students are allowed a glimpse into the current research of their peers and a chance to network with a community of future local and global French literature scholars.

The conference is open to all graduate students pursuing high-level research in French and Francophone literature and so its theme--"Ethics and Literature"--is necessarily an inclusive one. We invite you to read our call for papers and peruse the rest of our website. We look forward to reading your abstract submissions.

--The Organizing Committee: Nathalie Batraville, Annie de Saussure, Colin Foss, Kristin Graves, Liz Hebbard, Benjamin Hoffmann, Dustin Hooten, Annabel Kim, Ryan Max Riley, Neil Younger

Yale University Department of French
82-90 Wall Street, New Haven, CT 06511
