The Global Environmental Governance Project has relied on a diverse group of individuals to contribute
to the analysis of the existing institutional structure for the global environment and to disseminate
ideas. To further advance the discussion, we seek to launch a network of
concerned individuals who may create bridges between countries and institutions, take advantage of synergies,
and facilitate the pooling of knowledge and exchange of experiences.
Devising innovative approaches for better governance in the 21st century will require an extraordinary mix
of political pragmatism, commitment, cooperation, and idealism. But we believe the goal is important and
