Enhancing Individual Leadership Capacity

Leadership is central to sustaining positive change in global health systems. Delegates are selected to have exceptional leadership capacity in their various roles in countries, which have experienced remarkable improvements in health outcomes in recent years.

The conference will offer small-classroom, experiential education in leadership development, drawing on participants’
experience in health system strengthening efforts. The conference will create a learning environment in which delegates can learn from each other as well as from the Yale faculty and experts.

Topics will include authority in organizations, hierarchy and its effects, intergroup relations, leadership and followership, the role of paradox in healthy organizations, and managing productive groups.
