Strategic Problem Solving

Promoting Evidence Based Improvements in Health Systems

Strategic problem solving offers a rigorous and systematic approach to addressing complex and multifaceted problems in practice ways. The approach has been taught in health management classes on an off-campus, used successfully by many countries, including England, Liberia, Ethiopia, China, and the United States.

Delegates will apply a strategic problem solving approach to problems and goals relevant to global health system strengthening and pre-selected by the country delegate team as the work they want to accomplish at the conference.

Opportunities for collaborative learning about successful approaches to common problems will be facilitated throughout the week. Teams will complete and present their plans and approaches for successful implementation of selected solutions at the end of the week.
