The Orientation Process

"For many are called but few are chosen "

The Orientation Process is the official intake of new brothers into this illustrious bond. It is important to note that we do not pledge members but rather orient brothers to participate and grow in a Christian brotherhood. Moreover, Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc. is a non-hazing organization, and we pride ourselves on not compromising our Chrisitan principles during the proces. We believe that the process is meant to build brothers up spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially rather than break them down.

To obtain membership, interested persons should first attend events sponsored by the chapter to learn more about the brothers of Gamma Phi Delta in addition to their own research of the vision and purpose of the organization. Second, they should communicate their interests to the chapter secretary or one of the current membership. Third, interested persons are asked to meet basic requirements of membership. This includes:

  • Being male at a 2-year or 4-year college or university
  • Acheiving a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
  • Complying with University rules and regulations

Informational and interest meetings will be held throughout the year, and all interested persons are asked to attend at least one informational meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to disseminate important information about the organization and the upcoming orientation process. While the informational meeting is for all men, the interest meeting will be by invitation only.
