Acceptance Steps

• All recent winners must complete the steps below, as they provide information critical for processing fellowship checks.
• Students who fail to complete these steps in a timely manner risk forfeiting their fellowships.
• Please see the "Award Checklist" for important information.

Light Fellowship Acceptance
Upon receiving notification of winning a Light Fellowship, please complete this form to indicate your decision in accepting or declining the fellowship. This step should be taken whether or not you've actually been accepted to a program or programs! With the form, you are merely saying, "Yes, I want the Light Fellowship!"

Approved Program Abroad Acceptance
When you have decided which program you plan to attend, you need to forward a copy of your program acceptance letter or email from ONLY this program to light.fellowship@yale.edu. This should be your final program decision, so if you are on waiting lists, wait to notify us until you know which program you will attend. If you are attending multiple programs, you need to forward the acceptance confirmation for each program you will be attending.

Award budgets and checks cannot be generated until we know for sure and have proof of which program(s) you will be attending. We assume that until you confirm your program(s) that you are still waiting for program results.
