Refreshing the Browser
In Netscape:
If you don't see any change on the web
when you've made changes to your files and re-uploaded them - try
clicking "Reload". If you still don't see any change, from the Edit
Menu (in Netscape) choose Preferences, scroll down to
Advanced, and choose "Cache". In the area that displays
"Compare page in cache to page on Network" check the button
that says "Every Time". This means that every time you add
something to your page and upload it, you'll see the changes right
away.
Note: after you've finished your web development
session, you should probably check the "once a session" button in
the "Compare page in cache to page on Network" option described
above.
In Internet Explorer:
If you don't see your
changes, place the cursor in the frame you are trying to view and
right click on a PC or click and hold on a
Mac and choose Refresh from the pop-up menu. Or, go
to internet options under tools and in the middle
section temporary internet files click on settings and
change the setting to every visit to the page.
