Converting Word documents to PDF.

1. If you have not already done so, logon as an instructor on Classes.

2. Choose the appropriate course number under your name.

3. Be sure you are in the Syllabus section and click Upload.

4. You should see the following:

Use the browse button to ensure that the correct file path and name are entered in the text box.

5. Click the Browse button and a window will open showing your files on your computer. Find your syllabus file.

6. Double-click the name of the file or select the file and click "Open". The file name will appear in the "File to upload" box.

Note: the entire name of the file may not be visible in the box.

7. Leave the check box under the browse button checked. This will ensure that your file is named index.html or index.pdf and placed in the syllabus section. If you plan to use your syllabus as a website click here for more info.

8. Next you will decide if you wish to have your syllabus readable by persons outside of Yale.

Check the circle next to your preference.
You can change this option at a later date if you wish.

9. Login as a student and see what they are viewing in the syllabus section.

For syllabi already posted online on a server other than Classes.
