Simple Storage Solution (S3)

The Simple Storage Solution (S3) utilizes commodity-grade NAS to provide research labs and other small workgroups the ability to store and share large quantities of data (500 GB to 12 TB) via CIFS/Samba to any Windows, Mac, or Linux computer connected to the Yale network. S3 is a low cost alternative to buying a server or managing your own lab-based server.

Eligibility

Yale University faculty, staff, and departments are eligible.

Rates (FY 2010/2011)

$4,600 one time H/W cost or 3-yr plan of $130/month;$20/month support cost
