Archive email using the Pantheon Account Tool
This tool should only be used if you have a central email account e.g., netid@pantheon.yale.edu.
- Access the Pantheon Account Tool.
- Login using your NetID and password. Click Continue to enter the tool. You will now see a list of options.
- The last item is the Download Your Home Directory and/or Email. Click the Click Here link to load the Email Archiver tool.
- To download only your email archive select the checkbox next to Email. (If you check Pantheon space, you will also receive an archive of the data in your pantheon server space.)
- Outlook and Eudora (Windows and Mac) users should only check the box next to Email. Mozilla Thunderbird users should also select the checkbox next to Mozilla Thunderbird Format. (Outlook users will perform an extra step later to convert from Eudora to Outlook format.)
- Click Create New Archive to submit your email archive request. The archive will be created in a timely fashion. You should check your email for a notice from the Pantheon telling you that your archive is ready for retrieval. Once you receive this notification, click the provided link or return to the Pantheon Account Tool by clicking here. Login to the tool and revisit the Click Here link next to Download Your Home Directory and/or Email. The tool will list available archives for you to download (or update you with the current status of your archive request). Make sure you select the most recent one which contains email and select the download link. Save the file to your desktop so it is easy to locate later.
- You may now import your archive into Thunderbird.
