IT subscription groups

There are several different lists that allow you to join communities of technology professionals at the University. If you would like to regularly receive updates about what is going on with technology at Yale, please join one of the appropriate groups below. If you are sending a message and want to reach people who support technology at Yale, you must reference these groups when sending a message.

Name of group	Description	Group type
ITS support groups (ITS staff only)	Groups responsible for ITS client facing units: ITS Client Support, FASIT, Workstation Support, and Student Technology Collaborative.	This list is dynamically generated. Those who receive messages as a member of this group cannot opt out.
Yale IT Partners (non-ITS)	If you support technology at Yale, but you don't work in ITS, that's okay, just sign up for this list; it is for you! IT Partners are individuals who fill technology related positions outside of Yale ITS. Responsibilities include adding/removing hardware from network, ensuring security requirements are met, and maintaining computers. When you join this list, you agree to participate in evaluation and testing of various technologies at Yale.	(opt-in, opt-out) Join or leave this list
IT Friends (non-ITS)	If you are interested in staying in the technology loop at Yale, this group might be of interest to you. If you are a postdoc in art history, but you love technology and keeping up with what is going on at Yale, you might consider joining this group.	(opt-in, opt-out) Join or leave this list
Monday Morning News (ITS internal newsletter)	If you join this list, you will receive a weekly ITS newsletter via email. Monday Morning News features technical updates and staff highlights. Project Managers	Project Managers are individuals who have project management or project related responsibilities at Yale. Responsibilities include full and part time project managers, business analysts, deployment specialists or anyone who fills out project status reports for key projects. When you join this list, you agree to participate in the project management practices at Yale, and provide feedback when requested for new tools, forms and processes. Technical & functional managers of business systems (ITS and non-ITS)	This group comprises technical and functional managers, such as those responsible for Oracle Financial, HR, Data Warehouse and Procurement applications. If you are a functional or technical owner of an administrative application, you may be interested in joining this list.	(opt-in, opt-out) Join or leave this list
Yale Web Dev	Yale web developers or those interested in Yale web development topics should join this group. Messages sent to this group will include messages about system outages, service changes or other information that impacts those who work on websites or web applications. Please note that there is a separate mailman listserv used for communication among members of the Yale Web Development community. This is not the same list. Please join both.
