summer karate session

Hi all,
The summer karate session will start on Monday, June 4th. Classes will be held on Mon/Wed 5:30-6:30pm.

Classes will be held in the 6th floor gym. The fee is $80 for gym members for the summer term.

end of karate semester

I wanted to thank everyone for a great semester. Class is officially over until the summer term, which hopefully starts in the beginning of June. I will send out an e-mail as soon as I receive the starting date.

For those leaving us, I wish you the best and please drop us a line every once in a while. For everyone else, I hope to see you at the beginning of June or in September.

karate camp and tournament

Attached are announcements for Spring karate camp (4/27-4/29) being held at UCONN and the karate tournament being held in Montville Ct on 5/5.

Please let me know if any of you are interested in attending either or both events. As always, tournament participation fees will be paid by the club. Both events are great training experiences.

Info about Karate Examination

Hi all,

This is just a notice that the examinations for this semester will be taking place on the last Wednesday of April, 4/25.

 In other news, the Karate club has leftover funds that it has received from the gym, and we're trying to make use of them. Some ideas that have been brought up as to how to use these funds include subsidizing sports jackets or making Karate athletic bags. Since we'll need to order by the end of the semester, please let me now if you have any ideas or preferences as to how we can put the money to good use.

Self Defense Class Invite

Hi all,

For anyone interested, I'm going to start this semesters self-defense class. The one hour class is held on Mondays from 8-9pm, right after the karate class in the same room, and runs for 6 weeks. It begins this coming Monday (1/16).

This is a class that I think you can all enjoy. Gun disarming, ground fighting, chokes and holds will be covered. The cost is $20 for all 6 classes.

No need to pre-register, just come to the class to sign up.
