Mission Statement
Yale Undergraduate Korean-American Mentorship Program (YKAMP) is an undergraduate organization dedicated to the development of Korean-American youth in Connecticut.
The program provides opportunities for youth to establish long-term relationships with college-student mentors, as well as lasting friendships with fellow mentees. Through such one-on-one and group interactions,
mentees will develop increased confidence, strengthened character, and improved communication skills. Furthermore, the program incorporates an educational enrichment curriculum designed to introduce mentees to topics not taught in the classroom.
Provided with a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and society, YKAMP mentees will go on to contribute as active members of their communities.
Who should join?
Any students in the 7-12 grades who live in the Connecticut area are welcome to apply to the mentorship program.
