Texts/Readings

The course will require weekly reading, usually an excerpt from a book, a shorter piece, or a few pieces each week. In the week-to-week entries below, everything less than a book will be described as excerpts, which will be available in photocopies at the Law School's copy center. (Some of the pieces appear in books that are worth reading entirely.)  The books that we'll read from start to finish (or excerpt enough of so that it makes sense for you to own them) are listed below and have been ordered for the class by the Yale Bookstore (Barnes & Noble):
