3. PAROLES: SPEAKING EXERCISES and ROLE-PLAYING (THÉÂTRE)

SPEAKING EXERCISES

There are two kinds of speaking exercises:

The first kind of speaking exercise (ÉCHOLALIES) is designed to let the student speak with characters in the film. The exchange between the film character and the student is recorded and automatically played back for comparison. The student then has a number of options: re-play the dialogue from the film; re-record the response; compare the response with the film model; re-record the response; go to the next exercise.

The second kind of speaking exercise (RÉPLIQUES) is designed to train the students to respond to a given situation with one of the phrases or sentences they have learned from the film. The student's performance is compared with what is said in the film. The student then has the same options as above to compare, re-record, or go on.

ROLE-PLAYING (THÉÂTRE)

The THÉÂTRE section offers suggestions for role-playing linked to the relevant segments of the film.
