2. ÉCRITURES: Using the NOTES and ACTIVITIES PRINTING OPTION The NOTES and ACTIVITIES can be used on the computer or printed by the teacher or students. They can be printed as a whole or in parts. The page numbers of the exercises and notes as viewed on screen are used for printing purposes. Printer defaults (top of page, number of lines to a page, etc) vary with different computers. This may cause different pages to be printed than what were chosen. To avoid this problem, go to Print and select a page or two before and/or after the page(s) you want. Then use Print Preview to verify the printer pagination with the page numbers of the notes/exercises. Cancel the print request, return to the Print menu, and modify your print request as necessary. NOTES Notes deal with different aspects of the film content, such as language, cultural, historical and literary references such as La Fontaine's "La Cigale et la fourmi," Napoléon, Baudelaire, Apollinaire, etc. Notes may be assigned as reading homework for discussion in class. They can also be read and discussed in class. Short writing assignments may be based on selected Notes. ACTIVITIES All activities are "contextual": they focus on vocabulary and grammar points which emanate from the film. The activities deal with: 1. vocabulary (DES MOTS ET DES CHOSES); 2. comprehension and writing (COMPRÉHENSION ET ÉCRITURE); 3. grammatical points (DISTRACTIONS GRAMMATICALES). |
