For the quick and dirty way, you can just run
smbprint '\\server\printer' -P
I wrote a full-fledged SVR4-style 'interface script' for the Pantheon
which I'll give you if you want, but the BSD printcap mechanism is
different, and I've never used it because I've never needed to. I was
under the impression Samba came with instructions for how to set it up,
and maybe a sample printcap-style configuration.
