I have a VA Linux workstation here with RH6.0. I make lots of typing
errors. The computer beeps. I'm about to chuck it out the window. How
do I preven it from beeping EVER AGAIN? I've set all sorts of special
variables for tcsh, but emacs, pine, and god knows what else spits out
beeps whenever I mistype or click. Do I just need to unplug the speaker?
This seems like an entirely separate issue from the sound card, which I'd
like to keep working.
