You can, actually. What you need is a null modem in between. You need
to
swap two pairs of wires if I remember correctly, but there is probably
some kind
of howto on the web if you search for null modem.

You should be able to buy one, or even make one out of an existing cable
or female-female
plastic ethernet connector thingy if you want to save money. Youll get
amazing throughput too.
