Since my PPP connection is now runnig fine, I wonder if there is a method,
that If my commputer is not connected, but I want some data from it at
work, that I call the computer by Phone, dial a 'secret' code, hang up.
The machine should then once I hung up connect automatically to the ppp
Server, so that I can have accsess to it.

With mgetty I probably can watch the line and react if someone calls but
I dont know how I would be able to check which touch-tone code is entered.
from this point it would be easy since I have pppd running to react
whenever I lock for a non local network ip adress and then dial into the
ppp server.

Any ideas?

thanks

harald
