I am a newbie to linux. I have just installed redhat linux (apollo) on
my P400 w/ 128ram and 16gig hdd. I have a 3com 905b (cyclone) ethernet
card. I have been having intermittent probs with it as I get the
following error:

eth0: Updating statistics failed, disabling stats as an interrupt
source.
eth0: Host error, FIFO diagnostic register ffff (this error repeats
itself about 20x)
eth0: Too much work in interrupt, status ffff. Temporarily disabling
functions (7800).
Kernel 2.0.36

A colleague suggested I remove the sound card which at first helped
since it would actually work. But then this happened a few times
afterwards anyway. Right now it seems to be working again as Im sending
this from netscape mail within linux. The real problem is this machine
is dual boot; every so often I have to shut down linux and boot up NT.
Its when I go back to linux this will happen on occaision. I should
mention I havent had a similar prob on the NT side. I have looked
through the FAQ and other resources but didnt find any specific mention
of this problem.

Thanks.
