Duke Nukem with dosemu

Did anyone ever try to run duke3d with dosemu. The HOWTO dosemu and some
sources on the net say it works fine, but I cant get it to work. It
always breaks with the message:

CPU speed set to 451/1 MHz
Running on CPU=586, FPU=1, rdtsc=1
ERROR: general protection at 0x2121f: 66
ERROR: SIGSEGV, protected insn...exiting!

any idea
