just wondering if anyone knew of a wp 5.1 type word processor for
linux. That was my baby during all of high school, ran like a charm on
the old 8086, and I still would use it after we got the whopping pentium
running microsoft winword. If anyone knows of any good console based
editors that have good word processing features, such as multiple line
spacing, spell checking, footnote support, etc etc let me know! All
unix based editors seem to be geared towards programming, which does
sort of make sense, but I figure people have to write documentation and
papers and whatnot as well, right?
WP 8 is nice, but unnecessarily slow, and supports a bunch of stuff you
really don't need for a standard paper.
