Ben Shirley

Ben is the OISS Front Office Coordinator.  His main responsibilities include greeting all visitors, providing information to Yale international students and scholars, and assisting with general office functions.  He also coordinates room reservations for the International Center.  Ben graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Political Science and Music, and spent a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Prior to joining the OISS in 2008, Ben was an AmeriCorps member for two years in Washington DC, working in public schools to improve literacy skills and raise sustainability awareness.  Ben enjoys exploring the world through his passions of music and gastronomy.
