A look into Yale’s Past: Special Visit to the Manuscripts and Archives Collection

You are cordially invited to join us in this fascinating visit to the Manuscripts and Archives collection, where you will have the exclusive opportunity to important and precious objects related of our university’s history and origins. William Massa, Head of Collection Development at M&A, will be there to guide us through this fantastic set of items, which include an excerpt from the Yale Corporation minutes (1701), a Yale Library Catalogue (1743), and the first edition of Laws of Yale College (1774).

Due to the limited space for object display, registration is required and will be monitored closely. This is an adults-only event. Save your seat!

International Table Top Day at Yale!

OISS and Ludi et Veritas boardgaming group have the pleasure to announce the first International TableTop Day at Yale! If you like games and like having fun with your friends, come to the Yale OISS for an epic day of boardgaming. We will have a wide selection of popular games of all types (Catan, Ticket to Ride, Seven Wonders, Werewolf, Dead of Winter, Terra Mystica,…). If you never heard about them, don’t worry, there will be people teaching you how to play them. You can even bring a favorite of your own. We will also have some games to raffle and other surprises for all participants. The most important thing is to have fun, meet some new people and play boardgames! Yale Rep: Elevada

The OISS will offer a fun evening on April 24th combining a famous production with a social hour prior to the play. We have limited number of tickets available for the Yale Rep's production of Elevada at $16 (+ online processing fee).

A finalist for the 2014 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, Elevada marks the Yale Rep debut of Sheila Callaghan, “a gutsy writer with a gift for creating vivid images rooted in the emotional life of her characters” (The New York Times).

There will be a light reception at the OISS (6:30pm-7:30pn) prior to the play. Advance registration is required. Please note that an Evenbrite receipt does not equal a Yale Rep ticket. You’ll have to pick up your Rep ticket prior to the event.
