The Power Plant Modernization Program has announced that the switchover from United Illuminating feeders serving the Central Campus to the new Yale cogeneration feeders has been rescheduled for 8-9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22. For a list of buildings that may be affected by the switchover, see the April 13-20 issue of the Yale Bulletin & Calendar.
In addition, the switchover of the Becton Center area feeders is now scheduled for 8-9 a.m. on Friday, April 24. The buildings that may be affected by the switchover are:
Becton Engineering and
Applied Science Center
Sheffield-Sterling-Strathcona Hall
Kirtland Hall
Watson Hall
Dunham Laboratory
Mason Laboratory
Helen Hadley Hall
432-434 & 442 Temple St.
While it is expected that these switchovers will not affect electrical service to the Central Campus or Becton Center areas, there is a potential for power outage. It is advised that computer files be backed up frequently and the use of elevators avoided during the indicated time frame. For further information, call 432-9077.
