Y-ME of Connecticut, a breast cancer support organization, will host a special lecture and slide presentation by Dr. Richard Restifo, assistant professor of surgery, Thursday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Branford. Restifo is director of breast surgery in the medical school's section of plastic and reconstructive surgery. In his talk, "Breast Cancer and Reconstruction in South America: A Contrasting Medical and Cultural Environment," he will describe his experiences performing breast reconstruction during several surgical missions to the Amazon region.
