Yale is cosponsoring one of three concerts being offered this summer as part of the SNET New Haven Jazz Festival, held on the New Haven Green. The summer jazz festival, now in its 18th year, brings some 20,000 people to the Elm City each summer.
The Yale-sponsored concert on Saturday, July 25, features the well-known Brazilian jazz singer and bossa nova performer Eliane Elias. Opening her act will be Samba Brasil.
Other performers in this year's SNET New Haven Jazz Festival are the Jazz Crusaders on Saturday, July 18, and trumpeter Clark Terry and his quartet on Saturday, Aug. 1
