The Peace by P.E.A.C.E. curriculum ends with the spring Festival. We invite Peace by P.E.A.C.E. students to an all-day affair on the Yale campus where they are treated to food, fun, and worshops taught by an assortment of Yale organizations.
Students
from middle schools all over New Haven come together to share what they
have learned during the program, including their own original Peace Games,
and to be rewarded for their participation in the program.
The
festival is complemented by the inclusion of a keynote speaker, Yale students,
teachers, and parents.
This
past year, participating organizations included Just Add Water, Something
Extra, the EX!T Players, Tangled Up in Blue, Yale Dancers, Yale Children’s
Theater, Splatter, and News Channel 8.
The
students work and interact with each other and the Yale volunteers to create
art, make music, dance, write, learn about current issues, play sports,
and share their Peace Games.
They
go home with new friends and a sense of accomplishment.
