HISTORY of PEACE BY PEACE

Peace by PEACE at Yale, formerly Peace Games, is now in its tenth year.  It began in 1993 as a four week curriculum, and now it is thirteen weeks long.  In 1999, Peace Games at Yale changed its name to Peace by PEACE; the second PEACE stands for “Playful Explorations in Active Conflict-Resolution Education.”  Peace by PEACE at Yale is affiliated with Peace by PEACE International and with the Francelia Butler Foundation.  For more information on the history of Peace by PEACE, please visit our website at www.yale.edu/peace.
