Auditions for the 2011-2012 season will take place in on Monday and Tuesday, August 29 and 30 throughout the day. Due to Hurricane Irene, additional auditions will be held on the evenings of September 5, 6, and 7. Please come prepared with a short, district level solo (~3 min). You will also be asked to sight read a brief excerpt from our concert repertoire. The whole process is quick and easy, we promise! Prospective members are invited to sign up for a 10-minute audition time slot at the Extracurricular Bazaar. Returning members are encouraged to reaudition for the upcoming concert season, especially if they wish to keep principal stand assignments.
If for any reason you cannot audition during the above times, we would be happy to arrange an alternative time and date. Simply e-mail Yuan or Lara and we'll arrange a time. And, of course, one does not need to be a Davenport student or a music major to audition. Our group represents a cross-section of all residential colleges, instrument families, personalities, and academic majors with one common goal: to engage ourselves and inspire our audience with dynamic, beautiful, and diverse music.
