Professional Interests:
Kimberly Guy has been a Recovery Mentor with PRCH since April 2006. She is in recovery from mental health and substance abuse and uses her life and training experiences to help people in recovery develop person centered recovery treatment plans. She recently returned to college to obtain a degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She hopes to become a drug and alcohol counselor within an organization promoting psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery principles. Kimberly now works as a mentor and Person Centered Planning peer educator with the state-wide person-centered recovery planning implementation grant, awarded to the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Kimberly has presented on person-centered planning locally, state-wide, and at national conferences.
