1 . Lecturer. There are no limits to the number of years an individual may serve in the rank of lecturer. 2. Assistant Professor Adjunct. There are no limits to the number of years an individual may serve in the rank of assistant professor adjunct. However, at least six years at the assistant professor adjunct level are normally required before promotion to associate professor adjunct is considered. Those proposed for promotion should have demonstrated that they are excellent teachers and are recognized professionals of national standing. Promotion, if approved, will normally be to the rank of associate professor adjunct. 3. Associate Professor Adjunct and Professor Adjunct. There are no limits to the numbers of years an individual may serve in the rank of associate professor adjunct. However, at least four years at the associate professor adjunct level are normally required before promotion to professor adjunct is considered. Those proposed for promotion to professor adjunct should have demonstrated exemplary teaching skills and must have achieved the highest recognition of distinction in the profession.
