XVIII.H   Business and Administrative Support

Each school and department at Yale is supported by a business manager or other lead department administrator who is responsible for ensuring that faculty, students, and staff receive high quality financial, administrative, and related support. In providing this support the school or department business office staff assists faculty with understanding University policies and procedures, so that faculty members can maximize the time and attention they spend on teaching and research, while also fulfilling their administrative responsibilities.

Faculty are encouraged to engage the school or department business office staff for assistance with the wide range of administrative matters that can arise during the conduct of teaching and research. The staff may be able to provide such assistance directly or by referring the faculty member to the appropriate University office.
