Originally from San Antonio, Texas, John entered the graduate school in 2006 after completing an M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary and an A.B. in economics at Harvard. He is currently working towards a joint degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy. Major interests include analytic philosophy of religion and epistemology. Current areas of research include the influence of desire and the will on belief and the epistemic significance of religious disagreement.
