Rudd Center annual report 2006

Doing the impossible

Many people say it’s impossible to change the world. We prefer the sentiments of Anthony Trollope: The difficult is done at once; the impossible takes a little longer. Just one year ago, it was widely considered impossible to get executives from snack food companies to have honest, frank discussions with food activists. Impossible to get vending machines out of our schools. Impossible to convince major newspapers to run op-eds about weight bias alongside concerns like war and global warming.

Real change requires us to rethink impossible.
