Training Schedule
We train together at least five days a week, with frequent long morning
runs on Saturdays. All practices are optional,
but encouraged. Practices include run-outs around New Haven, track workouts (weekly), tempo
runs (weekly), and strength and core workouts, and are held for the following pace groups:
Group 1: 9-10 min/mile
Group 2: 7:30-8:45 min/mile
Group 3: sub 7:30 min/mile
Practice start times vary according to the season, starting no sooner than 4:00 PM and no later than 4:30 PM. We plan our workouts around a general weekly training schedule:
Monday : Tempo (3-6 miles) + core
Tuesday : Easy (3-7 miles)
Wednesday : Endurance (5-12 miles)
Thursday : Tempo Track Workout (3-6 miles) + core
Friday : Easy (3-7 miles)
