Canadian residents and international students along with U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents applying for a Federal Stafford Loan only should submit tax returns directly to Yale Student Financial Services.

| 2012-2013 CSS Profile Application (Available October 1) |
Apply online at profileonline.collegeboard.com. Yale’s CSS College Code is 3987. Yale receives your profile data electronically from CSS so you do not send copies or printouts of your application to Yale. Please note: At Yale we are asking our international financial aid applicants to use the online College Board CSS Profile, if they are able to do so. This option provides Yale with more accurate and complete financial information, a consistent calculation of ability to pay, and quicker access to financial information without the delay of mailling, sorting, and imaging required for our systems. For those students who are not able to use the online CSS Profile (because of lack of internet access, lack of credit card access, or other financial difficulties), please contact our office. |

Financial Aid Status
You can check what financial aid forms are required of you for the 2012-2013 academic year by logging in with your Yale NetID and password at www.yale.edu/sis.
Timeline
The tables below list the filing dates and award notification dates for 2012-2013. Keep in mind that term bills for the 2012-2013 academic year go out on July 1 for the Fall 2012 semester (due date August 1) and November 1 for the Spring 2013 semester (due date December 1). In order to ensure that your financial aid is shown on your bill and to avoid late fee charges, you must complete your application by one of the application filling dates listed below.

Extenuating Circumstances
To make Student Financial Services aware of special circumstances that are not reflected on the financial aid applications, you should submit a description on a separate sheet (along with any applicable documentation) to Student Financial Services.

When submitting financial aid information directly to Student Financial Services, be sure that your name and student ID number are listed on the top of each document. Please do not mail us copies of any materials that you transmit by fax machine.
