Tweed-New Haven Airport
(HVN): New Haven, CT (5 Miles)
Tweed is a small local airport in New Haven. It connects with Philadelphia for most trips.

Bradley International Airport
(BDL): Windsor Locks (Hartford), CT (52 Miles)
Bradley International Airport is marketed as the "no hassle" alternative to the airports in the big cities. It is well served with airlines and is reasonably easy to access from New Haven.
How to get to Bradley
- Take the CTTransit New Haven/Hartford Express Bus or the Megabus to Hartford's Union Station, then take the Bradley Flyer to the airport.

John F. Kennedy Airport
(JFK): Jamaica, NY (80 miles)
JFK is the largest and most heavily used airport locally, and it can become exceptionally busy. If you plan to fly at a popular time, particularly at the start of national holidays, you will need extra time to check in. Be aware that because of the volume of people using JFK, Immigration controls can be troublesome.

LaGuardia Airport
(LGA): Flushing, NY (73 Miles)
The smallest of New York’s airports, it has a very mixed reputation. Travelers tend to say that it’s fairly quiet and easy to get through, which is a good thing because you don’t want to be stuck there for too long.
How to get to LaGuardia
- Take the Metro-North Train to Grand Central Station, then take the NY Airport Service bus to the airport.

Newark Airport
(EWR): Newark, NJ (93 Miles)
Smaller than JFK, this is a good alternative if you can find an airline using this airport, although again peak holiday travel periods are busy and you should allow extra time.

Boston Logan International Airport
(BOS): Boston, MA (140 miles)
Opinion is divided on Logan, but it has been undergoing renovations. Although some people still consider it sprawling and difficult to navigate, others consider it their favorite airport in the U.S. Make sure you work out which terminal you need though.
How to get to Logan
- Amtrak to Boston's South Station. At South Station, connect to Logan by way of the MBTA Silver Line.

Providence T.F. Green Airport
(PVD): Providence, RI (96 miles)
An alternative to Boston’s Logan International, as delays and wait time in this airport are minimal.

Westchester County Airport
(HPN): Harrison, NY (50 miles)
Located about 30 miles north of midtown Manhattan, it is often used by those who wish to avoid congestion of the other New York City airports.
