Traffic Skills 101: Smart City Cycling
Transportation Options, in partnership with Elm City Cycling's League of American Bicyclists (LAB)-certified trainers, is proud to offer two sessions of a comprehensive bicycle education course this fall in New Haven:

Course Details
The Smart City Cycling Skills class is designed to provide cyclists, of all experience levels, the opportunity to develop and improve their cycling skills, competence and confidence with a special emphasis on bicycle commuting and safely navigating urban traffic.
This course provides instruction and guidance in the implementation of the basic principles of vehicular bicycling. Topics include: Bicycle parts and components, clothing, equipment, handling skills, traffic law, road positioning, lane changing, emergency maneuvers, road hazards and riding etiquette.
This course (Traffic Skills 101) was developed by the League of American Bicyclists. It provides people who attend and pass all the coursework a certificate, and is a pre-requisite to the more advanced skill classes.
The class runs from 8:30am until 5pm. Parking is available either across the street from 300 George Street, or in Yale lots that are free on weekends. Cost for the class is $25.
