I.               Odds Bodkins (storyteller) – wants to know how many people would attend his event if he would donate his services

II.             Raffie – location? SSS, Sudler?

III.           Farm Bill – includes school lunches, food stamps issues, currently on Senate floor, call senators at 1-800-826-9624

IV.          Current Event – Nikki Oakman

a.     SCHIP bill passed in House, though President Bush may end up vetoing it

b.     Would provide for people who do not qualify for Medicare but cannot afford own insurance

c.     $35 billion to cover 10 million children

d.     Republicans against it partly because would give insurance to immigrants, related to amnesty

V.            All Our Kin – campaign advocacy group, will speak during ChildrenŐs Week

a.     Draft letter to help them bring other groups to their panel – Nikki

VI.          Trick-or-Treat

a.     Wednesday – meet Silliman 5:30 to start the trek through dining halls.

                                               i.     Someone will dress up in box, will play Thriller, collect money

VII.        YHHAP Fast tabling

a.     Week before ChildrenŐs Week, sign up to table if you have time

VIII.      Social event – Stephanie organize?

IX.          Breaking a Guinness world record – Roshan

a.     Twister record broken 2 weeks ago in Pennsylvania high school L

b.     Could break largest card game tournament..

c.     Roshan will look into other possibilities because it is his current goal

X.            ChildrenŐs Week

a.     Mr. Ray – for ChildrenŐs Week

                                               i.     See if Calhoun master will help sponsor if see as community service

                                             ii.     Would be for kids on Dec. 1

b.     Lion King screening/sing-along – canŐt charge admissions, could sell beverages, popcorn

                                               i.     Silliflicks possible venue

                                             ii.     Would be nice to show on screen, other groups have screened movies on a big white piece of paper

c.     World Fellow health panel – Mulu (Save the Children), Ketevan (Curatio International), possibly Amit Wanchoo

d.     AIESEC – student interested in speaking for workshop day

e.     Publicity – YDN, Herald could cover specific event like Raffie and publicize rest of week before week starts

XI.          Paul Ruditsikira – Rwanda speaker

a.     CouldnŐt be sponsored by Calhoun master

b.     Ask Berkeley master – Betsy

XII.        HeadStart – Pamela.shen at yale.edu

a.     This week, Thursday at 8:30 am – Shejuti, Ann, grad student who will play Peter and the Wolf
