Program Overview

Over three hundred Yalies have participated in Bulldogs Across America, and their experiences are well documented on the various cities' websites. The Bulldogs programs are independently sponsored by local alumni, but are joined in a cooperative network headed by Rowan Claypool, Founder of the original program in Louisville, Bulldogs in the Bluegrass. For more program information visit the individual sites listed below or go to www.bulldogsacrossamerica.com.

Costs & Expenses

Participants are responsible for all costs incurred associated with the program (meals, local transportation, incidentals, and transportation to the program site). If a position is paid, there will be a notation indicating such in the internship listing.

  • Housing
Housing is coordinated and funded through the program in all locations except San Francisco and Santa Fe. The Resources section of this site provides housing resources to assist you with your search.

  • Transportation
Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from work each day; read each individual internship posting carefully to determine if it requires you to bring a car to get to work each day. Depending on the city that you are in and proximity to work, you may share a ride, walk, use public transportation, or even bring a bike.

Program Expectations

Participants will be viewed as ambassadors to Yale and must act professionally, respectfully, and responsibly at their internship sites.

Upon returning to campus, participants may be asked to assist in publicizing the program at panels and workshops hosted or co-sponsored by Undergraduate Career Services.

Failure to complete the internship as required or comply with the standards established by UCS may lead to the revocation of UCS privileges, including future participation in UCS programs. In certain cases, referral may be made to the Executive Committee or the Yale College Dean’s Office for their consideration.
